Dr. Manasi Shimpi is a Pediatric and Preventive Dentist trained at Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, driven by a genuine connection with children and a belief that early experiences shape lifelong attitudes toward oral health. At her clinic, she focuses on creating a space where children feel safe, understood, and even excited about visiting the dentist.

Her training in child psychology, behaviour guidance, and communication helps her tailor each interaction so that every child is at ease, no matter the treatment. Certified in Biofunctional Interceptive and Oral Myofunctional Therapy (BIMT), her clinical approach goes beyond just treating teeth. She works with a holistic, airway-focused perspective, recognising the deep connection between oral health, breathing, sleep, and overall development.

She is trained in interceptive orthodontics, allowing her to recognise early jaw development issues, guiding jaw growth and dental development at the right time, thereby often preventing more complex issues later. She also incorporates oral myofunctional therapy principles to address habits, tongue posture, and functional patterns that influence both dental alignment and airway health. She specialises in preventive care, minimally invasive treatments, and managing dental concerns in infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs. Her goal is always to preserve, guide, and support natural development rather than intervene aggressively.

She is India’s first trained dentist in Animal-Assisted Interventions from The University of Edinburgh, Scotland and Duke University, USA and Animal Angels Foundation, India, and integrates her Therapy Dog, Wrigley, into her practice to help anxious children feel calm, comfortable, and even excited about visiting the dentist! At the heart of her practice is a simple belief: Tiny Teeth are a Big Deal. Dr. Manasi says, “By Tickling, Tweaking and Treating them, I believe in making the world a better place, one tiny smile at a time, and raising a generation that isn't afraid of Dental visits.”
